Lean on Us
At Kickstand Services, we use the tagline: lean on us.
To me, these aren’t just words on a website. They are meant to be an encouragement - they are meant to build community.
For most of my career and personal life, I’ve been taking on projects and bringing them to fruition. Whether it’s a series of events for non-profit fundraisers, a whole home MacOver (y’all remember that?), decluttering a teenager’s closet, getting a team of Assistants or Cheerleaders in order, launching an Alumni program. These are things I have done - and done successfully. Yet, still…
I have needed encouragement on every step of this journey. Because sometimes it’s hard to remember all that I can do. When doubt and fear and criticism are before me, I focus so much more on what I cannot do.
When I’m not great at something, I can get distracted by what feels insurmountable. For me, these days, it’s been starting this business. But maybe for you, it’s starting that relocation. Or diving into that crowded pantry. Or carving out time to focus on your small business.
We all have different skills and different passions. I am great with projects, pantries, and piles. Not so much with car maintenance.
I kick ass on events. But I have to hire out for charcuterie boards.
I can see a vision for an orderly space, evaluate the process and bring that vision to life. I cannot do taxes.
So, when life requires car maintenance, taxes or stunningly designed charcuterie boards, I go to the professionals. I embrace the idea that I cannot do everything and I get refocused on what I can do.
If home organization or travel research or relocating your parent to senior living feels like it’s NOT in your wheelhouse, remember: that’s okay.
Let’s work together so you can keep focused on what you do well.
You can lean on us for the rest.
